ENTRUST SERVICES

Terms of Service & Service Agreement

Last Updated: October 2026

Welcome to Entrust Services. These Terms of Service explain the general terms that apply when you request or use services from Entrust Services.

By requesting services, receiving an estimate, approving a scope of work, or authorizing work to begin, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review these terms and agree to the applicable terms below.

1. Description of Services

Entrust Services provides property-related services that may include cleaning, debris removal, demolition/tear-out assistance, pressure washing, restoration support, mold-related cleanup and containment support, and other services that we are legally permitted to provide.

The specific services provided for each project will be identified in the applicable written estimate, work authorization, or agreement.

2. Licensing Disclosure

Entrust Services is not currently a California-licensed contractor.

We do not represent ourselves as a licensed contractor and will not knowingly accept or perform work that California law requires to be performed or contracted by a licensed contractor.

Where a project or portion of a project requires a licensed contractor, permit, inspection, or licensed specialty trade, the customer is responsible for engaging an appropriately licensed professional unless a separate written arrangement states otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to avoid, waive, or circumvent any licensing, permitting, building-code, safety, or other legal requirement.

3. Scope of Work

Only the services specifically described in the written estimate or work authorization are included.

Anything not specifically included in the agreed scope is considered additional work and is not included in the original price.

4. Additional Work

During a project, conditions may be discovered that were not visible or known when the original scope was prepared.

Additional work will not be performed without the customer's approval when additional cost, time, or materials are involved.

Any additional work should be documented in writing before it begins.

5. Licensed Trades

Plumbing, electrical, structural work, permitted construction, and other regulated work may require a properly licensed professional.

When such work is required, Entrust Services may recommend or coordinate with an appropriately licensed professional. Entrust Services does not represent that it is licensed to perform regulated trade work for which a contractor's license is required.

6. Permits and Inspections

When a permit or inspection is legally required, the parties will determine in writing who is responsible for obtaining it.

Entrust Services will not knowingly begin work that requires a permit without the required authorization.

7. Existing and Hidden Conditions

Entrust Services is not responsible for conditions that existed before work began or that could not reasonably be identified during the initial assessment. Examples may include:

  • Hidden water damage
  • Existing mold or microbial growth
  • Structural defects
  • Pre-existing plumbing problems
  • Pre-existing electrical problems
  • Hidden leaks
  • Deteriorated materials
  • Unsafe conditions
  • Code violations
  • Damage caused by previous work

If these conditions require additional work, the customer will be informed before additional work is performed when reasonably possible.

8. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide reasonable access to the work area.
  • Inform Entrust Services of known hazards or property conditions.
  • Secure or remove valuable or fragile personal belongings when appropriate.
  • Provide access to necessary utilities unless otherwise agreed.
  • Obtain any approvals required from property owners, landlords, HOAs, insurance companies, or other responsible parties when applicable.

9. Property Protection

Entrust Services will use reasonable care while performing authorized services. However, certain restoration, demolition, cleaning, and related work may involve dust, debris, moisture, movement of materials, or other conditions that can affect surrounding areas. The scope of work should identify any special protection requested by the customer.

10. Unsafe Conditions

Entrust Services may refuse to begin or may pause work if conditions appear unsafe or if the work would require licensing, permits, equipment, or qualifications that Entrust Services does not possess. Work may resume when the issue has been properly addressed.

11. Estimates

Any estimate provided by Entrust Services is based on the information and conditions reasonably visible or known at the time of the estimate. An estimate is not a guarantee that hidden conditions or additional work will not be discovered.

12. Project Pricing

Unless otherwise stated in writing, projects are priced according to the agreed scope of work rather than an hourly rate. The agreed price covers only the work specifically included in the written scope. Additional work may result in additional charges after written approval.

13. Payment

Payment terms, project price, and any applicable payment schedule will be stated in the applicable written agreement. Customers are responsible for paying approved amounts according to the agreed payment terms. For California home-improvement projects, mandatory contract and payment requirements may apply; these legal requirements cannot be changed by these website terms.

14. Cancellations

Cancellation terms will be provided in the applicable project agreement. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any cancellation or consumer rights provided by California law.

15. Delays

Project schedules may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Weather
  • Hidden property conditions
  • Lack of access
  • Permit or inspection delays
  • Material availability
  • Utility problems
  • Actions or delays by other contractors
  • Insurance approvals
  • Emergency conditions

When reasonably possible, Entrust Services will communicate material delays to the customer.

16. Restoration and Water-Damage Work

Restoration work can involve conditions that are not immediately visible. Entrust Services does not guarantee that all damage, moisture, mold, microbial growth, structural damage, or other conditions will be discovered during an initial inspection. Where specialized inspection, testing, engineering, environmental assessment, or other professional services are necessary, the customer may need to obtain those services from an appropriately qualified professional.

17. Mold-Related Services

Mold-related services will be limited to the scope specifically agreed upon. Entrust Services does not provide medical, environmental, engineering, or legal advice. Where testing, clearance, laboratory analysis, environmental consulting, or other specialized services are required, an appropriately qualified third party should be used.

18. Insurance Claims

Entrust Services does not guarantee that an insurance company will approve, reimburse, or pay for any particular service. The customer is responsible for communicating with their insurance company and understanding their coverage. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Entrust Services is not responsible for insurance claim decisions, delays, denials, deductibles, or coverage limitations.

19. Customer-Provided Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the property, known damage, previous repairs, insurance requirements, hazards, and other conditions that could affect the work.

20. Photographs and Documentation

Entrust Services may document project conditions with photographs or other records for purposes such as estimating, project documentation, communication, and record keeping. Any use of photographs for advertising or promotional purposes should be separately authorized when required.

21. Third-Party Contractors

When a project requires licensed or specialized work outside the services Entrust Services is legally permitted to perform, the customer may need to hire a properly licensed or qualified third party. Entrust Services is not responsible for the work, acts, omissions, warranties, or delays of an independent third-party contractor unless Entrust Services has expressly agreed in writing to assume such responsibility.

22. No Guarantee of Insurance Coverage

Entrust Services does not guarantee that any service will be covered by a homeowner's, landlord's, commercial, or other insurance policy. Customers should confirm coverage with their insurance provider before authorizing work when appropriate.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Entrust Services will not be responsible for losses arising from pre-existing conditions, concealed conditions, inaccurate information provided by the customer, acts of third parties, or circumstances outside Entrust Services' reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under California law.

24. Disputes

If a disagreement arises regarding services, scope, pricing, or payment, the parties agree to first make a good-faith effort to communicate and resolve the issue directly. Nothing in this section prevents either party from exercising rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

25. Changes to These Terms

Entrust Services may update these Terms from time to time. The terms applicable to a particular project are the terms and written agreement accepted for that project.

26. California Law

These Terms are intended to be interpreted under applicable California law. If any provision is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

27. Customer Acknowledgment

By requesting services from Entrust Services, the customer acknowledges that:

  • The scope of work should be reviewed before work begins.
  • Additional work should be approved in writing.
  • Entrust Services is not currently a California-licensed contractor.
  • Entrust Services will not knowingly perform work requiring a contractor's license unless appropriately licensed professionals are engaged.
  • The customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary approvals from property owners, landlords, HOAs, insurers, or other parties when applicable.
  • These Terms do not replace any mandatory California contract, disclosure, cancellation, licensing, or consumer-protection requirements.
